How to Submit
STEP 1:
TAKE PHOTO. At a safe distance, photograph a loved one or local hero in Lynn. Portraits do not have to be professional quality, as long as they are over 1MB in size and capture the person’s face. Some tips:
- One person per portrait!
- Only human faces!
- Crop to the face!
- No sunglasses!
Some things that don’t count as faces are: pets, backs of heads, groups of people, and inanimate objects. See below for inspiration.
STEP 2:
Click the blue "Submission Form " button below.
STEP 3:
Upload your photo(s) in the form.
STEP 4:
Answer questions related to your experiences in 2020. We want to hear how you feel, what you’ve learned, who has inspired you, and how you want history to remember this year.
Answer a minimum of 3 questions to be considered for a FREE 2-week online Spoken Word Workshop with local artist, Cliff Notez.
STEP 5:
Click ‘Submit’ and your work could appear in Beyond Walls artwork this summer.

Remember, the best portraits are expressive, emotional, and captivating. They are more than pictures of smiling faces; they seem to reflect the personality and story behind the face!
